V Bar Flight Log - Vibrations

I have test flown my Diabolo a few days ago and after checking the flight log have noticed continuous 'Raised Vibration Levels' logged during a couple of the test flights.

Pages 23 - 29 of the attached log.

I am using a full sized V Bar with Blue sensor mounted using a metal plate.

When on the bench with the main blades off but tail blades on there are no vibration reports logged at all in the software - not one.
The Spektrum Analyzer shows nothing much only a single very low peak at around 150hz.

Headspeed in ID2 is around about 1900rpm.

I have rechecked the balance of the main blades and they are 100% perfect.

Just wondering if these vibration reports in the logs are pretty normal for this set up?

    Anything to worry about?

    Thanks.

AW: V Bar Flight Log - Vibrations

    Hello Malcolm,

the raised vibration level of your logs seem to me not too big of a deal.

It depends how you flew when the entry occured.

It is normal, when you fly hard 3D or agressive manouvers, that you have entrys up to "extreme vibrations", for instance if you fly a heavy "wall".

May you check the issues of other pilots in the V-Bar-Forum according to vibs and find a measure to categorize and interpret your data in comparison to your flying style.
So you can differenciate acceptable levels of vibration and when there is something to do at your heli.

If you can't get this sorted out by yourself, you still have the option to give the "girls" at Mikado a call and they make you smart

    Cheers
    Wolfgang

      Hi Malc,

absolutely nothing to worry about. Raised vib level during flight is pretty much normal, and even single max level warnings from time to time are ok when you fly hardcore 3D.

In case you are looking for first-hand info from the mikado experts, you can check back at: VStabi Forum | VStabi . There, you will find an english language forum section that deals with all kinds of Vbar questions.

      Best regards
      Peter

        OK thanks guy's.

I only ran six packs through the helicopter for the first time on Saturday and also managed to get the trim flight sorted.

So no hard flying at all for these flights so that is why I was a bit surprised when I checked the flight log.

I have three V Bars and do use the V Bar forum from time to time so I'll contact Rainer if anything changes for the worst.
