Well, somethin might be up for 2014 Kyle flies to Germany last week with pelican cases full of stuff he has to hide when anyone's in the shop, and I think Marcus Gellard of Zebra Works Productions is "in the house" @ Mikado this week...Hmmm....Coincidence?
Probably not
----------
Kyle got home last night from a filming session with Marcus in Germany...the subject matter being new products for 2014 from Mikado. Wish I could spill the beans, but we'll just have to wait for Marcus to finish editing, and Ralf to OK the release.
Keep in mind that Mikado will be at the Rotor Live exposition in Germany March 8th and 9th (less than a month from now), and it's not hard to imagine that what got filmed last week by Marcus will be shown there (maybe not everything new that's coming in 2014, but at least some of it). So hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer to see "what's up".
Kyle is returning to Germany for the show as well, to fly in the competition and demos being held as a side-line to the event. As a matter of fact, he'll be using / flying some new stuff during the competition and his flights at the show.
------------
Mikado tends to thinks in the long term, like being committed to only electric helis decades ago when no one believed electrics would ever amount to much...and flybarless, when everyone though flybars worked just fine so why bother.
Ralf once told me they are always looking 5 years down the road to see where they can lead the industry with new and innovative stuff.
So back in 2012 at the "DahlHouse Flightline" event, Kyle and I were introduced to a product idea for the first time that Ralf brought over from Germany, that Mikado had been working on for awhile prior to showing us...and now years later, after a lot of effort and investment, the public just might see it for the first time at Rotor Live.
It does justice to Mikado's history of leading the industry. It's pretty impressive.
