News von Spirit - Spirit 3 ist für die Vorbestellung verfügbar die Auslieferung startet im Dezember. Es kann quasi alles was das GT auch kann zu einem Preis der auf 88 USD angesetzt ist.

Die Fertigung wurde optimiert und es wird nur noch Geld mit der Hardware verdient ohne Entwicklungskosten zu berechnen. Das ist quasi ein Schritt den man gehen muss um weiterhin gegen die starke Konkurrenz aus Asien zu bestehen.

Spirit 3 has smaller footprint, identical to Spirit 2, making it ideal for helicopter class 250 - 550. Yet it can be still used up to 800 class. It has -1 port when compared to Spirit GT thus it can't be used with 4 servo swashplate. All remaining features are identical to GT allowing even usage with a Fixed Wing models. Key difference that allowed so big cost difference is that components are sourced out of EU countries for Spirit 3. However with no impact on performance, quality or reliability.

Industry-leading Motion Sensor

Redundant PowerTrain

Simplified Wiring


Our aim is simplicity. This mean you no longer need a special cables such as FrSky Integration cable or even JETI Integration cable. It can be replaced just with normal stright one. Same as for Spirit GT.

Gold-plated PCB


We care about reliability a lot. For big scale helicopters of 800 class or more extreme current amperage can develop. With Spirit 3 connectors all losses are minimized.

Extensions


Spirit 3 can be extended for basically unlimited servo outputs. If you will ever need to control 8 servos or more, with Spirit 3 it will be possible in very near future.

Servos with telemetry feature will be supported in the upcoming update too.

Die EU Produktion läuft ja weiterhin parallel von daher kann jeder selbst entscheiden was für ihn das richtige ist.

Ist in ferner Zukunft in Planung aber aktuell gibt es nur die Version ohne integrierten Empfänger

Spirit GTR läuft nach wie vor weiter sowie alle anderen Spirits auch.

Spirit 3 kommt zusätzlich.

Die Preisanpassung ist natürlich echt ne Ansage und zielt in Richtung RF. Zusammen mit dem angekündigten "Mikro"-Wave-Empfänger kann man sich (neben dem RX7) auch an den Wave-Sender konnektieren. Leider ist das Nexus XR da schon wieder ein Stück weiter.

In der eigenen Spirit-Produktpalette ist das Preisgefüge nun auch nicht mehr so stringent und harmonisch, wenn man die Kombination Spirit3+Empfänger mit GTR oder W1 vergleicht.

Mir hätte es besser gefallen, wenn man sich bei Spirit durch überragende Usability klar von RF abheben würde und dafür auch lieber ein wenig mehr zahlen. Ob der Preis von 88$ soviel Spielraum für die Finanzierung eines perfekten Software-Systems (Unit-Firmware, PC-Software, Sender-Softwares, Dokumentation) lässt, ist die Frage.

Aber man sieht, dass Spirit noch voll am Markt teilnehmen will und noch nicht (wie einige andere Wettbewerber) auf maximalen Ertrag aus bestehender Entwicklung mit reiner "Modellpflege" abzielt.

Wie gesagt, jeder kann das Kaufen was am besten passt, die europäischen Produkte bleiben weiterhin erhalten. Liegt an jedem persönlich was man unterstützen möchte

So oder so die Entwicklung bleibt bei Spirit nicht stehen, da geht es wie gewohnt weiter.

Na ja, das Spirit GT ist doch faktisch tot. Bringt nur noch was für Scaler mit 4 TS-Servos.

Für GTR und W1 zahlt man ca. 100 Euro mehr, als für Spirit 3 plus externem Empfänger. Bleibt ein schmaler Käuferkreis, der für die kompakte Einheit den Aufpreis zahlt (tendentiell gehöre ich da dazu).

Machen wir uns nichts vor: Ob das System nun in Europa gefertigt oder nicht, nimmt man doch beim Blick in den Shop nicht wahr.

Ist ja im Grunde eine erfreuliche Entwicklung. Wenn Spirit Systems sich so gut finanzieren kann, kann es uns allen recht sein.

Leider ist das Nexus XR da schon wieder ein Stück weiter.

So wirklich weiter ist es nicht, es gibt ja nur eine Version mit Empfänger und das ist ELRS.

Integration ist auch sehr begrenzt verfügbar bei RF also bei der Version ohne integrierten Empfänger hätte Spirit die Nase vorn.

Für mich hat das Spirit sowieso die Nase vorn. Aber das XR mit integriertem Empfänger kostet halt so viel wie ein Spirit 3 und nicht wie ein GTR/W1. Das meinte ich mit "Nase vorn".

PS: Für mich zählen bei diesen Betrachtungen eh nur die Systeme mit senderseitiger Integration. Alles andere ist "legacy".

Empfänger zu integrieren ist jetzt kein großer Aufwand.
Jeti kommt in Frage und natürlich das eigene Protokoll für die Wave. Man möchte aber aktuell alles so weiter laufen lassen wie gehabt und nur das S3 zusätzlich anbieten.

Mal sehen was als nächstes kommt aktuell in der Beta verfügbar ( für Wave nutzer ) ein nettes Gimmick
Ein vollständig selbst programmierter Spirit RC Sim der auf der Wave läuft. Ist nett um auf dem Flugplatz mal schnell was auszuprobieren
